Canyon’s latest range of premium, pro-level CFR bikes feature Campagnolo’s sensational new Super Record Wireless groupset.
Embargo until Thursday 20 July 2023, 11:00 AM (CEST) – Campagnolo. A brand steeped in tradition, with an unparalleled reputation forged by a decades-long pursuit of perfection. With a long line of game-changing products to their name – Super Record, Chorus, Ghibli, and Bora to name just a few – Campagnolo is a name that resonates in the hearts and minds of road cycling enthusiasts around the globe.
In celebration of one of cycling’s most iconic brands, Canyon are proud to present the Canyon X Campagnolo Collection: a new and exclusive range featuring some of the finest road bikes the German brand has ever crafted. Uniting Canyon’s superlight, pro-level CFR frames with Campagnolo’s finest ever components, the Canyon X Campagnolo Collection represents the zenith of road racing performance and aesthetics.
The philosophies of Campagnolo and Canyon are fuelled by a shared vision – to create products that push the boundaries of technology, design, and performance, and to put them to the test at the biggest races.
The pinnacle of passion, performance, and quality in professional cycling and a serial winner at World Championship and Grand Tour level, Canyon X Campagnolo is a winning partnership proven at the highest levels of professional road racing.
To succeed at the highest levels of competition, you need input from the best minds in the sport. That’s why professional athletes play an essential role in developing new products both at Canyon and at Campagnolo. Long before products hit the market, pro riders put new developments to the test, providing valuable insights that feed directly back into the R&D process. Only once everyone involved – from engineers to World Tour team managers – are satisfied, does any product see the light of day.
And the results speak for themselves. Campagnolo-equipped Canyon bikes have compiled a sparkling palmarès over the years including the World Championship titles of Cadel Evans in 2009 and Alejandro Valverde in 2018, as well as Grand Tour victories by Nairo Quintana in 2014 and 2016.
With dynamic CFR branding and premium finishes, Canyon X Campagnolo Collection models exude class and quality from top to bottom, standing out from everything else on the road.
With gorgeous metallic bronze tones contrasting with the frame’s raw carbon finish, these bikes are pure performance art.
Upon launch, two models will make up the Canyon x Campagnolo Collection: the Canyon Ultimate CFR WRL, a classic road race bike with the perfect balance of lightness, stiffness, aerodynamics, comfort, and durability, and the Canyon Aeroad CFR WRL, one of the most beautiful, efficient aero bikes on the planet.
Both bikes come equipped with Campagnolo’s sensational new Super Record Wireless groupset – the brand’s smoothest, fastest, and most precise shifting ever, now in 12 speed. The rear derailleur has larger jockey wheels, a newly designed cage, and is packed full of innovation, including auto repositioning, multi-gear shifting, and advanced 3D Embrace tech for improved power transfer.
For eye-watering acceleration and speed, the Ultimate rolls on Campagnolo’s Hyperon Ultra wheelset – an excellent choice for the most ambitious road racers, with their lightweight construction and superior agility. Featuring superlight deep-section 60 mm rims, the Aeroad’s Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO 60 are wheels to count on when every watt matters.
All bikes also feature Canyon’s own aerodynamic, comfortable, robust CP0018 Aerocockpit, as seen at World Tour level. With complete cable and wire integration, the cockpit looks super-clean and reduces drag at the same time. And with single-tool adjustable height and width, big spacer stacks and time-consuming bar swaps are a thing of the past.
Uniting the race-winning DNA of Canyon's CFR frames with Campagnolo’s greatest ever groupset, Canyon X Campagnolo Collection bikes represent the absolute pinnacle of road bike design and performance. A special range for riders who demand the zenith of modern design and engineering, and nothing less.
Canyon X Campagnolo Collection bikes will be available exclusively and in limited quantities on canyon.com from Thursday 20 July 2023, at a price of €10,999.
