This Sunday's Ronde van Vlaanderen double-header brings the elite men's and elite women's race to Flanders' infamous cobbled roads.
With dry weather conditions forecast the stage is set for a fast and furious, no-holds barred race across the notorious short and steep cobbled climbs that litter the Flanders countryside.
The eventual winners of Ronde van Vlaanderen will not only be determined by strength and skill but also a fair share of luck. Accurately predicting the the male and female riders who'll be victorious in Oudenaarde is anyone's guess but we can take a stab at the Canyon riders who are sure to be animating proceedings.
In the men's race watch out for recent Milan-San Remo winner Jasper Philipsen, current UCI Road World Champion and 2024 E3 Saxo Classic winner Mathieu van der Poel, and Danish dynamo Soren Kragh Andersen, all from Alpecin-Deceuninck. Also the promising early season form shown by Movistar's Oier Lazkano makes him one to look out for.
The women's peloton will surely be keeping a close eye on Canyon//SRAM's TT specialist Chloe Dygert, Fenix-Deceuninck's cyclocross star Puck Pieterse and Movistar's Danish National Champion in Gravel Emma Norsgaard. All three have had promising early seasons and are sure to keep things lively at the sharp end of the race.
CANYON//SRAM, Movistar, Alpecin-Deceuninck and Fenix-Deceuninck riders will tackle this year's De Ronde with Canyon's Aeroad CFR. It's Canyon's elite level road racing bike with advanced aerodynamics, lightest weight carbon frame and pro peloton pure speed performance, perfect for all those who aspire to victory at the Tour of Flanders.
