Even the pros are sweating indoors, and now you can join them. This winter, Canyon is teaming up with trusted German Experience Partner Rad Race to bring the Paincave Protocol Workouts to Zwift.
Canyon is inviting riders from all over the world to join its athletes for the Rad Race Paincave Protocol Workouts: free virtual rides on Zwift that bring pro-level motivation straight into your home. On various days each week, the Canyon community comes together online to ride, train, and connect with Canyon pro sport athletes and ambassadors.
Whether you’re chasing watts, building winter fitness, or just looking for that extra push, these sessions offer an authentic, performance-driven experience with a global community vibe, all from the comfort of your Canyon bike and setup.
Each week, a different Canyon athlete leads the ride: from 2025 Time Trial World Champion Marlen Reusser of Team Movistar to Canyon crit racer Alec Briggs, former German pro footballer and keen triathlete André Schürrle and many more. Riders can join in real time, pedal alongside their heroes, and share the same workout rhythm, challenges, and rewards.
The event already kicked off with an incredible start, featuring, among others, world triathlon legend Jan Frodeno and Canyon ambassador and world-class footballer Manuel Neuer.
The Paincave Protocol is developed and hosted by Rad Race, a long-standing Canyon ambassador collective best known for its Canyon sponsored Rad Pack team and its two Canyon Experience Partner locations in Hamburg and Berlin. With their creative, community-driven approach to cycling, Rad Race embodies the spirit of pushing limits and having fun on and off the bike.
This winter, Canyon and Rad Race are bringing the energy of live group rides to the virtual world, making structured indoor workouts more motivating than ever. The full 12-week Paincave Protocol training plan is available for purchase online through Rad Race. The weekly Zwift rides with Canyon pros and ambassadors are part of this program and are free to join.
