- Melding rugged mountain bike capability with urban versatility
- Featuring Bosch's lighter and quieter Gen. 5 Performance Line CX motor
Embargoed until 11:00 CET, Tuesday, March 18th, 2025: Canyon’s new Grand Canyon:ON inspires riders to explore more. More singletrack trails, more city streets, longer rides, steeper hills.
Featuring modern geometry, all-day comfortable ergonomics and a 120mm travel fork, it is an e-MTB created for explorers, adventurers and wanderlusters.
A new smooth and reliable Gen. 5 Bosch Performance Line CX motor provides a healthy 85Nm of assist, and with up to 1050Wh of range on tap the Grand Canyon:ON has the legs to venture far off the beaten path and back again; conquering hills, devouring headwinds, and eating up distances with surefooted confidence.
A digitally operated e-bike lock and Bosch ABS stopping power (on the Grand Canyon:ON AL 9) make this Canyon’s most accessible e-MTB, offered in three trims with prices starting at 2,799 EUR.
Available in four sizes ranging from S to XL, the Grand Canyon:ON features a rugged aluminium frame that has been tested to the same exacting Category 3 standards as Canyon's full suspension eMTBs, while helping maintain an easy to manage sub-25kg total weight.
2.6” tires and powerful hydraulic disc brakes deliver confidence inspiring performance off-road along with easy urban manoeuvrability.
Contemporary geometry places rider mass centrally for optimal control and stability in all situations and a “right at home” ride feel. Just to underscore the off-road worthiness of the Grand Canyon:ON, a dropper post is included to get the saddle out of the way when things get rowdy on technical descents.
The new Grand Canyon:ON is now equipped with 5 mounts allowing riders to carry two waterbottles and a range extender, as well as provisions for pulling a trailer, adding a kickstand, and integrating a computer into the cockpit. Built-in guards protect the frame from rock strikes and other impacts, and the rear derailleur attaches via a super-durable UDH.
Four individually tuneable ride modes are on hand to optimize power delivery for any situation, and peace of mind is assured via the ebike lock incorporated into the Bosch app.
This may be Canyon's entry level e-MTB, but it is fully equipped to take on the rigours of off-road life as well as meet the functional needs of urban riders.
In our research the main thing we kept hearing from customers was that they wanted an e-bike that offers exceptional value, is comfortable to ride and which eliminates concerns about battery range. We like to listen and we love to deliver! If you’re looking for one e-bike to match your mood any day of the week, the Grand Canyon:ON is the answer.Patrick Laible, Canyon MTB Product Manager
