Updates include massive boost in power and torque, even stronger chassis, K.I.S. steering tech and refinements in durability and maintenance.
Embargoed until Friday 1 May, 11:00 CEST: Today Canyon rolls out a new version of its award and race-winning Strive:ON e-MTB. The new Strive:ON receives several major updates including a massive boost power and torque (to 750w and 120nm respectively), an even stronger chassis, and refinements that make the bike even more durable and easy to maintain.
Four years ago, Canyon unleashed the Strive:ON upon the world with the bold goal of winning the fledgling e-Enduro World Series. Mission accomplished. In its first year, the Strive:ON was piloted by Fabien Barel to an overall EDR-E win. And even though the bike was created to storm race podiums, it quickly proved itself an excellent all-rounder e-MTB, racking up several “Best in Test” and “Bike of the Year” awards around the world.
Today, the Strive:ON returns faster, stronger, and even better than before. Let's look at the highlights:
- More Power. More Torque. Even Stronger. Massive torque to crush the biggest climbs: Equipped with the latest Bosch CX and CX-R powerplants, each Strive:ON dishes out a massive 120Nm of maximum torque, making quick work of the steepest climbs you can find.
- Even more power than before: The Strive:ON also gets a big boost in power—with a peak output of 750W, effectively boosting rider input by as much as 600% (up to 15 km/h). That power is seamlessly delivered quickly and intuitively for a very smooth and controllable ride.
- Reinforced, race-proven chassis: Lightweight (2.45kg in size M) yet tough, the new Strive:ON frame has been redesigned to be even stronger than before. The bike meets rigorous Category 4e testing frame standards, which are tailored to ensure the frame holds up to the extra stress faced by e-MTBs like the Strive:ON.
- Tougher motor “skid plate”: Chainrings and motors are often in harm’s way during technical climbs. Consequently, the Strive:ON features a reinforced skid plate under the chainring that attaches directly to the Bosch motor. Taking inspiration from enduro motocross skid plates, the Strive:ON skid plate features two prominent rails which reduce the contact area and help the plate slide easily over rocks.
- Hassle-free cable routing: The new Strive:ON features through-frame cable routing that makes routine maintenance quick and painless.
- K.I.S. increases your control: The Strive:ON is built to excel at speed. The bike’s unflappable red-zone composure is further enhanced on the second-generation Strive:ON by the addition of Canyon’s K.I.S. 2.0, our proven steering stabilizer. K.I.S. creates a carefully tuned centering force in the steering that helps filter out unwanted wheel deflections in rocky terrain. In addition to keeping the whole show pointed smoothly ahead at Mach-chicken, K.I.S. also enhances control on techy steep singletrack climbs and sketchy off-camber terrain.
- Ride hard. Ride far: All Strive:ON models now feature Bosch’s latest 750Wh batteries, giving riders plenty of range to ride hard without fear of running out of power.
- Improved charge port cover: Finally, the new Strive:ON features a more robust and better-sealed charge port cover.
Canyon is launching three new Strive:ON models, ranging in price from 4,999 € to 7,499 €. Each bike bears the same tough-yet-lightweight carbon frame, equipped with stellar components.
