Australian DH racer notches up rare achievement of 100 appearances between the Elite World Cup tapes
From his elite debut in 2010 at Fort William to this weekend’s Downhill World Cup in Les Gets, Canyon CLLCTV’s Troy Brosnan is celebrating his 100th appearance in World Cup races.
During that time he has found his way onto the podium an incredible 39 times and scored four elite World Cup victories, including his most recent victory at Mont-Sainte-Anne last year.
In recognition of more than 15 years at the sharp end of racing, Canyon and his clothing and accessory sponsors have come together to produce a very special race package for the ever-present Aussie.
Typically racing on a black Canyon Sender CFR Teamdesign, for this weekend's Les Gets World Cup, Brosnan’s full throttle DH rig is now resplendent in a gold, purple and bone colour scheme.
The colour scheme comes from the hand of Canyon’s in-house team who designed, painted and built up the bike to present to Brosnan just before the first Les Gets World Cup training session on Thursday.
Alongside the frame design, Brosnan’s bike also features custom colourways on his Crank Bros Mallet DH pedals, his Rock ShoxBoxxer Ultimate fork lowers. Plus his clothing and helmet sponsor Troy Lee joined in the party with a radical design for Brosnan’s race kit.
The full spec of Brosnan’s Canyon Sender CFR includes a RockShox Boxxer Ultimate fork, Vivid Coil Ultimate Shock, SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes, SRAM Transmission, Ergon grips, Crank Bros mallet DH pedals, DT Swiss EX471 rims and 240 hubs and Maxxis Minion DHR II tyres.
