JENNY RISSVEDS CLAIMS DOMINANT XCO WORLD CUP VICTORY IN BRAZIL FOR CANYON CLLCTV

Swedish star claims Lux World Cup CFR's first victory of the season

For immediate release: Jenny Rissveds delivered a masterclass in cross-country racing at Round 2 of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in Araxá, Brazil, securing her first XCO World Cup win of the 2025 season - and her first for Canyon CLLCTV XCO - aboard the Canyon Lux World Cup CFR.

After a confidence-inspiring 3rd place in the XCC race on Friday, the Swedish and former Olympic champion took that momentum to the XCO race on Saturday. After stringing out the field on the 5th lap of 9, she managed to sneak away, building on her advantage in the remaining laps as tactical games behind worked in her favour.

“It's new to me to be lonely like that in a World Cup race,” said Rissveds. “I’m working up some confidence, which is really nice and a big forward from last weekend.”

“I wanted to stay with the group to start with and then I tried to settle into my rhythm. I might have gone a little bit too soon, but not as early as last weekend and I think that was smart.

The Canyon Lux World Cup CFR proved to be the perfect partner for Rissveds, providing the agility and efficiency needed to tackle the demanding Brazilian cross-country course.

At 1535g, the Lux World Cup CFR has one of the lightest full-suspension MTB frames on the market, meaning it climbs like a dream, yet its geometry and shock tuning allows it to rip descents with confidence-inspiring control, as Rissveds demonstrated on the demanding Araxá circuit.

Rissveds rode Canyon's Lux World Cup CFR Team edition which comes with premium, super long-life CeramicSpeed bearings at all pivot points, Rock Shox SID Ultimate forks and SID Luxe Ultimate rear shock, complete with Canyon's CP0008 one-piece carbon XC-Cockpit, SRAM XX Eagle AXS Transmission and Schwalbe Rick XC tyres.

The Lux World Cup CFR is part of Canyon's elite level CFR canon. CFR, short for Canyon Factory Racing, is a product line born from cutting-edge research and development, utilising the finest materials and highest quality production methods, all in collaboration with industry expert. Whilst bikes across the CFR line are made with the express goal of carrying riders to victory, they are also available for every customer who is inspired by Canyon athletes and their winning performances.

It was not only Rissveds racing the Lux World Cup CFR to a podium place though; team mate Valentina Corvi came second in both the U23 XCO and XCC race. Meanwhile Luca Schwarzbauer and Noa Filippi claimed top 10s in their races.

Rissveds is now second in the overall standings and will be hoping to gain more ground on series leader Samira Maxwell in the next round of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, which takes place in Nové Město, Czech Republic between May 23-25, 2025.
