In total Canyon riders delivered a performance master class, securing 9 time trial medals on the Speedmax CFR TT and 8 road medals on the Aeroad CFR. Read on for a full breakdown of Canyon's medal haul:
In the Women's individual time trial (ITT), CANYON//SRAM's Chloe Dygert (US, pictured right) won bronze in the Elite category, team mate Antonia Niedermaier (DE, pictured left and middle) claimed gold in the U23s, and Julie de Wilde of Fenix-Deceuninck took U23 bronze. In the Junior ITT Cat Ferguson claimed the first of her medals, taking gold.
The Mixed Relay Team Time Trial (TTT) saw CANYON//SRAM's Antonia Niedermaier join forces with Movistar's Liane Lippert and their three male compatriots to score second place for the German team.
In the Men's U23 individual time trial Movistar's Ivan Romeo (ES) pulled out a spectacular ride to secure gold, completing the 29.9km course in a blistering 36m 42s.
Meanwhile Ricardo Ten Argiles (ES) and Ewoud Vromant (BE, pictured below) demonstrated their prowess in the 18.8 km paracycling time trial. Ten Argiles successfully defended his 2023 C1 title, and Vromant bettered his 2023 bronze with gold this time around in the C2 class.
All Canyon TT medallists chose the Speedmax CFR TT which is based on Canyon's original Speedmax, an aerodynamic masterpiece designed for triathlon, but fully adapted to time trialling, and of course 100% UCI compliant.
In the Junior Women's Road Race, Cat Ferguson (GB) doubled up on gold by outsprinting Paula Ortiz (SP) in second place and Viktória Chladoňová (SK) in third, who incidentally also happened to be riding Canyon bikes.
Chloe Dygert went one better in the Women's Elite Road Race taking silver, and fellow Canyon//SRAM riders Puck Pieterse (NL), Neve Bradbury (AU) and Antonia Niedermaier (DE) won U23 gold, silver and bronze respectively, for a podium clean sweep for Canyon.
In the Men's Elite Road Race defending champion Mathieu van der Poel battled to a hard-fought bronze, winning from a reduced bunch sprint.
In the paracycling road race, Ricardo Ten Argiles doubled up on gold with victory in the Men's C1 Road Race and this time Ewoud Vromant took home bronze in the C2 class.
All road race medallists chose Canyon's latest Aeroad CFR which is recognised as one of the fastest bikes in the peloton, allowing riders to lay down power efficiently while saving watts through its cutting-edge frame and cockpit design and aerodynamic positioning of the rider.
