Embargoed until 11:00 CEST, Tuesday 30 September 2025 – When Jasper Philipsen finished this year’s La Vuelta, he didn’t just confirm his consistency after 3 weeks of stage racing, in which he won three stages and countless intermediate sprints, but he also put his 2025 Tour de France demons to bed, following his horror crash on stage 3. Now, after wearing the green jersey in both Grand Tours, Canyon has released a special edition green ‘Abell’ design as part of its MyCanyon customisation programme, in tribute to one of the greatest sprinters of his generation.

MyCanyon offers customers the chance to customise their Canyon bikes with a streamlined selection of luxury options. Starting with the Aeroad CFR, there are three main areas of choice when building your dream MyCanyon bike: Aesthetics, fit and function. In this expansion of the MyCanyon programme it's both the aesthetic and the fit that receive an upgrade.

MyCanyon: Aesthetics

The new Abell design is named after the astronomer George Abell who discovered the eponymous planetary nebula. His Abell constellation emits a greenish light pattern, and it was this that provided the inspiration for the new MyCanyon design, matching the green jerseys for the leader of the Sprint competition in both the Tour de France and La Vuelta.

Canyon’s new Abell uses a unique spray and hand-stamping process to achieve the appearance of deep layers on the frame. The design is part of the Astro series – the first in Canyon’s Mano collection - and it is available to select in the MyCanyon configurator.

MyCanyon: Fit

In addition to a new design, new crank length specifications are also available, allowing customers to customise their dream-level Aeroad CFR bikes even more to their preferences. As well as 170, 172,5 and 175 mm cranks, Canyon will now offer 160 mm from Shimano and 160, 165 mm and 167.5 cranks from SRAM. Shimano 165 mm and SRAM 162.5 mm cranksets will be added by the end of November 2025.
