CANYON LAUNCHES ‘SPEED’ EDITION OF AEROAD CF SLX, EQUIPPED WITH AERO DROPS AND DEEPER-SECTION WHEELS
Embargoed until 11:00 CEST, Thursday 26 June: With a frame design that’s proven to be the fastest in the peloton, the Aeroad is an undisputed winner – proven time and time again at the upper echelons of the sport. And now, the latest iteration of this award-winning bike ups the ante (and aero gains) once again.
Two new Aeroad CF SLX ‘Speed’ editions are dedicated to those who prioritise performance and aerodynamics, and are available with pre-mounted aero drops giving you 10mm longer effective reach compared to classic drops – leading to a more aggressive and aerodynamic bike position that saves up to 14 watts.
The Aeroad CF SLX 8 AXS Speed edition comes with SRAM’s Force AXS E1 2x12 electronic groupset, introduced by SRAM last week, and rolls on Zipp 404 Firecrest hoops, shod with Pirelli P-Zero Race RS tyres.
Meanwhile the Aeroad CF SLX 7 AXS Speed model comes with SRAM’s Rival AXS E1, again a brand-new 2x12 electronic groupset, this time complete with the newly launched DT Swiss 65mm ARC wheels offering improved aero credentials at a lower weight than their predecessor.
Aside from these changes, riders can still expect the same peloton-leading aerodynamics as the flagship Aeroad CFR, built with Canyon’s CP0048 PACE Bar cockpit for height and width adjustment with no cutting required. Plus, the PACE Bar’s Gear Groove interface provides a solid platform for quickly mounting a range of accessories such as aero bars and in-line computer mounts (available separately).
The Aeroad SLX AXS Speed models will be available with either Force or Rival groupsets in a special colourway known as Kaze, priced € 6,999 or € 4699 respectively. Both bikes will land on Canyon.com, the Canyon App or at selected Canyon Stores from Thursday 26 June, 2025.
