HEATHER JACKSON & TIFFANY CROMWELL VICTORIOUS AT UNBOUND GRAVEL

Go short or go long, for racing performance the Grail CFR knows no bounds

Sunday 1st June 2025: Former Ironman triathlete turned gravel racer Heather Jackson took top honours in the 350-mile XL race and Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto's Tiffany Cromwell took first place in the 100-miler, both with the Grail CFR, Canyon's high performance gravel race bike.

New course record for Jackson

Jackson crossed the line after racing for a mind-bending time of 20h 57m and 57s, setting a new women's record and finishing eighth overall out of all riders at Unbound XL.

Speaking at the finish line Jackson said: "It was so epic. I would say I'm a TT'er at heart and I set up my Canyon Grail just like my TT bike."

"I couldn't be happier. I can't say that the race went perfect because I had so many things happen out there but yet it was perfect even including those things. The bike was amazing, honestly."

Second Unbound win for Tiff

Meanwhile Tiffany Cromwell, Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto's WorldTour pro rider and seasoned gravel racer delivered a commanding performance at Unbound 100. Cromwell is known for balancing her road racing calendar with key gravel races, and so her road racing pedigree showed as she attacked early, eventually latching onto a fast group, and never looking back, finishing solo, 13 minutes ahead of her nearest rival.

Cromwell, wearing the Australian national gravel champion colours, completed the 108-mile route in 4h 59m and 13s, giving her a second Unbound 100 victory in the last 3 years.

"The goal was to win, and I got the win. Good legs, avoided many close call crashes, and no mechanicals or punctures made for a fast and strong race," said Cromwell.

Both Jackson and Cromwell claimed victory on Canyon's Grail CFR, a high-performance race bike built to excess in fast gravel race conditions, equipped with innovative features like integrated storage and a pro race cockpit, and available via Canyon.com, the Canyon App or Canyon's offline outlets. Jackson spec'd her bike with TT bars, using Canyon's Gear Groove cockpit, for additional hand positions and aerodynamic options on the XL route, whereas Cromwell rode the standard CFR set-up with custom artwork on her Grail.
