NEW CANYON GRAIL RIFT EDITION SEES LAUNCH OF GRAVEL RACE SUSPENSION FORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DT SWISS
Embargoed until 11:00 CET 27th May 2025: Standing for Rough Is Fast Tuning, the new Canyon Grail RIFT edition takes the outstanding race performance of the new Grail and adds a whole extra level of speed and control.
The RIFT edition has been made possible thanks to a F 132 ONE fork, designed by Canyon in collaboration premium component manufacturer DT Swiss.
Delivering 40 mm of bump-erasing, traction-boosting, tire-protecting suspension travel in a fully adjustable, remote-controlled, seamlessly integrated fork, Canyon's new suspension is designed to keep you going fast through the roughest sections, smooth through the corners and safe in the pack.
After four years of development, it's been perfected for not just surviving but thriving in the increasingly tough, technical terrain of today's gravel races, where the old adage of ‘to finish first, first you have to finish’ has never been truer.
So whether you’re in the lead group at mile 199 of a 200-mile race or claiming a big personal victory mid-pack, the new Canyon x DT Swiss RIFT suspension will help you finish fresh and finish fast.
Designed from the gravel up the DT Swiss F 132 ONE fork offers 40 mm of travel with full tuning bandwidth for all riders and terrains.
- LINEAIR positive and negative air spring gives outstanding small bump sensitivity, minimising rough stuff fatigue, gluing your tire to the ground through loose corners, keeping your hands on the bar and steering on line through unexpected big hits. All fully adjustable via the concealed, aero fast fork crown valve.
- The lightweight PLAINGAIN damping cartridge gives position sensitive impact control to make 40mm of travel feel like much more. Providing genuine control on rocky sections and braking bumps, not just random undamped bounce. This crucial rebound damping can be matched to rider weight and performance preference through 9 clicks of the easily accessible lower leg dial.
An ergonomic PUSHCONTROL lockout lever that you can activate on-the-fly without having to take your hand off the bars. When starting a climb, lock the fork and get out of the saddle to leverage an advantage. Or when obstacles appear, a click on the lever releases the fork, letting it do the work instead of your arms and upper body.
Click on. Total rigidity and efficiency for out-the-saddle efforts. Click off. Total control for the roughest sections or energy boosting comfort. Useable from drops or hoods. It’s that simple.
Suspension on gravel bikes historically hasn’t always looked the part, so nailing a clean aesthetic was key. Canyon and DT Swiss Industrial Designers worked together to achieve this. What sets this fork apart optically is brake line integration for a cleaner front end than any other system on the market. The fork geometry, offset and trail was also refined to work best with the Grail and the Grizl.
The F 132 ONE allows for the complete internal routing of the PUSHCONTROL remote lever actuation cable and half-integrated brake hose routing from steerer tube to crown.
Plus the fork stanchions are ready for bikepacking with universal sleeve mounts for front fork racks and bags (weight limit: 3 kg per side). So you can extend your adventure – or your race – simply and cleanly without adding extra weight when mounts aren’t needed.
It’s not only the addition of the F 132 ONE RIFT fork that enhances the Grail. The full line-up has had a facelift with new artwork, plus all Grail CFR bikes are now equipped with Canyon's CP0047 Gear Groove Pro cockpits featuring aero hoods, a 16 deg. flare and 400 mm width, power meters can be found on all CF SLX models, and CF & SLX models receive narrower cockpits.
