AWESOME, DUDE: CANYON PRESENT 2022 FAT BIKE RANGE

KOBLENZ, 30 MARCH 2022 | EMBARGO UNTIL THURSDAY, 31 MARCH (12:00 CEST) – The Canyon Dude is the ultimate fat bike for riders who prefer extra-wide tyres and the huge traction, control, and no-limits fun-factor they bring. And no limits really does mean no limits. Because whether it’s high-mountain snowscapes, desert dunes, or rough, broken trails – this is one Dude that ploughs over anything you point it at. And now, Canyon are proud to present the latest Dude range, back again for 2022.

With its incredible versatility, the Dude is an integral part of Canyon’s trail bike line-up, alongside bikes like the Grand Canyon aluminium hardtail and the new full-suspension carbon Spectral 125. And the Dude more than lives up to its trail bike billing, with a modern progressive geometry that breaks all the tired old fat bike stereotypes – of heavy handling and sluggish riding dynamics – and creates a more agile, confidence-inspiring setup that’s bags of fun out on the trail.

The latest Dude range comprises three models, each available in three frame sizes (S-L). The Dude CF 7 is a new arrival for 2022, joining the Dude CF 8 and Dude CF 9 to add a new entry-level option that opens up the world of fat biking to even more riders. The CF 7 and 8 both feature Canyon’s own Rude CF carbon fork – ideal for fat bike purists, and for riders who demand the ultimate in lightness. Each and every Rude CF fork is inspected using Canyon’s own in-house CT scanner before assembly to guarantee consistent quality on every bike. The Dude CF 9 is equipped for riders who need extra performance and capability on descents and over rough terrain, with its 120 mm Manitou Mastodon Pro STD fork plus a dropper post for more freedom of movement when the trail gets techy and steep. All models feature extra-wide 27.5-inch wheels with chunky Schwalbe tyres: a setup made for ambitious adventuring in places that other bikes simply can’t go.

Don’t be mislead by the Dude’s chunky looks.With its carbon frame and trail geometry, it’s much more agile than it first appears. Adjustable dropouts let you increase the bike’s wheelbase for additional stability at high speeds or over especially demanding terrain. For superior rollover, the Dude CF 8 and 9 are equipped with DT Swiss BR 2250 fat bike wheels with huge 78 mm inner rim widths, all combined with 27.5-inch MAXXIS FBF and FBR rubber. The Dude CF 7 – available in striking Volcano and Blaze Orange artworks – rolls on SUNringlé Mulefüt 80 SL V2 wheels. The Dude CF range opens up a whole new range of riding possibilities for the riders amongst us who’ve already explored the limits of where two-wheeled adventure can take us – and want to push those limits to a whole new level.
